The moose population in Northern Colorado is thriving and I will teach you how to find and photograph these beautiful creatures without disrupting their lives and natural habitat.
I'm accepting a limited number of sessions for 2018 so call me for your Colorado Moose Photography trip before I'm booked. Reservations for these moose trips are only available by telephone, 303-948-1972.
Colorado Moose Photography Tours
Each day will be a full day photography outing beginning before sunrise and ending at sunset, depending on moose locations and weather conditions of course. Once we've worked out the logistical details, I'll provide you with guidance for everything you'll need to take great photos of moose in their natural habitat.
The price will depend on how many days you would like to chase moose. Once we've worked out your private workshop details, a 50% down payment is due . Full payment will be due 30 days prior to your scheduled session. My cancellation policy is at the top of this page. Reservations are only available by telephone, 303-948-1972.
Attendees will be responsible for booking their own lodging (I'll provide recommendations.) Lodging accommodation recommendations will be for safe, comfortable and rustic settings in the area where we'll be working. If you are coming from outside of Colorado I can assist you with transportation issues. Additional travel arrangements may be possible based on the individual needs of the participants. We will be basing our operations in the vicinity of Red Feather Lakes, Colorado.
I will make availiable to all participants my knowledge regarding the art of photography and the photographic environment we'll be visiting. Specific guidance on techniques will be provided to anyone who needs it. These are very informal and laid back experiences in a very unpopulated area of Colorado. Dining will be varied from Sandwiches to Prime Rib. We could be eating breakfast from the back of the vehicle or we could be eating later in the mornings at the best reastaurant we can find. Days can run from sunrise to sunset, or mornings or evenings. The physical requirement are mild but there may be a need to occasionally hike short distances through boggy or uneven terrain.
This will be an environmentally friendly private workshop. No two trips are the same. Colorado's Shiras Moose are thriving in central and northern Colorado. I'll get you to the hottest spots for photographing these magnificent creatures. You will be visiting a lot of beautiful country in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and witnessing these majestic wild animals living their lives without man made constraints. We'll be doing sunrise photography on some of Colorado's finest mountain lakes, streams and forests at altitudes of up to 12,000 feet.
We'll review our shots from each day's outing and do group critiques in a friendly and professional environment. We won't be hitting the "tourist" spots that have been in the press, we'll be working in areas of the state that are off the beaten path and in some cases fairly isolated from urban civilization.
Individual price per day: $450
Price for two bookings together will be reduced by $25 per day per person, or $800 per day together.
Payment forms accepted include Visa/MC/PayPal/Cash/Check
Lodging suggestions are available. For one day, plan two evenings of lodging. The evening before and the evening after.
It will be a photographic experience of a lifetime.
Due to the logistics and time involved in organizing these trips, I will only book participants in person and by telephone. Serious inquiries only.
